## 1. MPs call for national pollution targets and a credible threat of special administration

Topic: Regulation & policy

The EFRA Committee wants low-level pollution loopholes closed and backs a single social tariff. It also says Thames Water should already have faced special administration. It does not back bigger fines.

## 3. UKHSA starts a national study of PFAS levels in people

Topic: Environment & performance

Blood and urine samples will set a population baseline, with first results in 2027. UKHSA says individuals should not seek PFAS blood tests.

## 4. EA research finds flood recovery support is fragmented

Topic: Environment & performance

Take-up of Flood Re's Build Back Better scheme was 33% against a 50% target. The report says recovery should be planned before floods happen.
